Mondrian on Lake Eola

I have stayed at the Mondrian for 3 years now. I have looked at every single high-rise in DT and they don't have IT like the Mondrian. It's Modern, the amenities are GREAT, the views are unbelievable and the the staff is incredible, specifically Kelly. I have worked with Kelly ever since my first tour. I have been in 3 different units since being here and she has helped me with each move. Any complaints I have had, she has addressed and solutions were quick. We have a Dollar General (with produce), a French bakery, and Michael Jordan's son shoe store right underneath us in the same building. SUPER convenient. Pet grooming right next door. Movie theater is a 2 minute walk. If you are interested in DT living, give Mondrian a shot. Glad I did!

I had the pleasure of working with Sarah Nelson when I moved from Mexico to Orlando and I must say, she was an incredible help! Sarah went above and beyond to assist me in finding the perfect apartment. She even sent me videos of multiple floor plans, which made my decision-making process much easier. What I appreciated most about Sarah was her timely responses and professional demeanor. She was always available to answer any questions I had and made sure to guide me through the entire moving process with ease. I am happy to report that I have now moved into my new apartment at the Mondrian, and I couldn't be more thrilled with my decision! Thanks to Sarah's help, I found the perfect place that meets all my needs and preferences.

The Good: Friendly, helpful concierge and maintenance staff. Sarah in the leasing office is great as well. Fantastic amenities, including EV charging which a lot of downtown apartments don't offer. Units have very good appliances and layouts. Great, unobstructed views of Lake Eola. The Bad: Very thin walls, especially compared to similarly priced downtown apartments. For a "luxury" building, the construction feels very cheap and you will hear your neighbors. Also, the building is near the bars and will hear them late at night. This is unavoidable and just the reality of living in the area. This building is very poorly designed. There are only 3 elevators to service the whole building, one of which is often reserved for tenants that are moving. Currently, only 2 elevators are working and property management has indicated this wont be fixed for 6-8 weeks. This, on top of the doors in the parking garage often being broken makes it a chore to go anywhere. Overall, The Mondrian has some great amenities, but is very poor value for being priced as a "luxury" apartment. There are many other buildings in downtown Orlando that offer similar amenities with proper concrete construction. If you are a young professional, I would not recommend living here. If you like to party and want to live close to the downtown bar scene, you will appreciate the proximity. In my opinion, it is not worth the money. Update: After writing this review, there have been many car break-ins of resident vehicles including my girlfriend. Property management has not mentioned anything about addressing this. Also, the freight elevator is still out of order, going on 2 months now.

Living here has been a really great experience. Ralphie and Elena, (the cleaning couple,) along with Jorge (maintenance) have truly made it feel like home. They are just the sweetest people here. They feel like family and I trust them with everything. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else and I can truly say it's because of this crew.
